This is cold?

It has been really crazy weather here lately. We had a cold pressure settle over use for a few days and it was the coldest anyone at the station ever remembered it getting. The usual temperature is around 88F (24 C), with the cold pressure it was around 68 F (19C). The cold lasted for about three days then moved on. It now feels hotter than ever because it is now not raining hard everyday and the humidity is around 92 % all of the time.  I feel like a sponge soaking in all of the humidity, a very sticky sponge. I like the colder weather even if I was cold, it was better than the super hot humidity. I do still enjoy the rain. The rain smells fresh here in a different way than at home. The rain lowers the temperature down a few degrees for about ten minutes, which is not long enough in my opinion. I now know I enjoy dry heat to humidity.
As a result of it starting to get "dry" all of the Inga are starting to really produce young leaves. The results is that this last week we have been working all afternoon and after dinner until power goes out so I have very little free time. With so little free time, I really enjoy my Sundays .
The internet is very frustrating. They have been trying to fix it for the last couple of days. I am hoping and praying that it will continue to work so we can email more regularly. The other night the internet just stopped working after I sent an email and I couldn't get it back on. So here is a quick rundown:
Life has been pretty good and fairly busy.  Some of the cooks are starting to try speaking English to me, just saying how are you. I have learned a few more conversational words but not a lot.
Saturday night we were able to star gaze and that was a lot of fun.  I loved finding Sagittarius and the southern version of Corona Borealis. I was the only one who has any real knowledge about star gazing. I like knowing that everyone at home can see Sagittarius at the same time I can, its pretty cool. One of  the next clear nights we are going to try to star gaze from on top of the tower which will let me see most of the constellations that I know. I am looking forward to that.  Hopefully I will be able to post more regularly soon! In the meantime here are some pictures I have taken.

Here we all are in the rain.
