Pictures for my Family

Today was a normal day. We went back to the gap where we where yesterday to finish it off. The other half was not that good for collecting herbivores. It was good for seeing cool bugs. We saw two cool caterpillars, and a bright orange beetle thing.  Once  we decided the gap was no longer to our liking we went back to the main trail to continue with our plan to do a big loop of the trails while checking plants a long the way. Well we did check some plants, and then we became distracted by going down a side trail. Down the side trail we had success with finding some herbivores, as well as a medium sized spider and a frog. It took us longer to check the plants than we thought it would so we decided to stay longer in the field after lunch. We still did not make it very far, but it was a productive day.
It was supper hot today. No rain at all since Tuesday morning. That is nice because the trails are drying out, but it also means that there is no breeze or release of the humidity. I feel like I am permantly stuck in a sauna, or that I am being slowly cooked in a simmering stew. I can do dry heat no problem, but this wet heat is horrible. You feel smothered by the humidity.  I do enjoy seeing blue sky and feeling the sun on my skin early in the morning just after it rises. I also enjoy seeing the stars now that it staying clear at night.  I am hoping that I will adjust to the humid heat quickly or that the rain comes more frequently. I could do with rain every third day or so, that would be nice.
